Nika Nesgoda created her VIRGIN series using adult film stars, including Stormy Daniels, as her models in 2002. It was 16 years after it was shot, that Nesgoda's photograph of Stormy Daniels as the Madonna in her VIRGIN series suddenly became news. Adult film star, Stormy Daniels was the woman leading the charge to expose President Trump’s alleged affairs and the hush money he offered to women over the years. The VIRGIN series is an exploration of works from the Old Masters and a recreation of images of the Virgin Mary using porn star models similar to the original women who posed as her in paintings.
